Fresh fruits and vegetables are available all year with an emphasis
on seasonal, local and organic products. Variety is a major factor
in our produce department. In season you will find 10-15 varieties
of apples, over 20 types of tomatoes, 8 different types of potatoes.
Great produce plays a big role in every great meal. We work hard
to find sources that provide us with the best produce available.
This helps set us apart from supermarket produce departments where
you will find an avocado or mango that you must wait 5 days to
eat. We are not buying the produce in bulk with once or twice
a week shipments. We can receive our produce 6 days a week.

Over 1/3 of our store is devoted to produce. We obtain our produce
from 28 Certified Organic farms and from major conventional produce
companies in the Washington D.C. area.
